Hi, at
school Mum asked me and Evan this question:”Does everything in nature work in
cycles?” and I worked out some questions for my friends and family to answer.
These are the questions:
- Can you name a cycle in
nature?
- Do you agree that nature lives
in cycles?
- If you could make up a cycle,
what would it be about?
- Is there anything in nature
that does NOT work in cycles?
- These are some of the answers
for number 2:
Butterfly Lifecycle
Broad beans
Paper
Seasons
Any animals
Tree shedding leaves in autumn
Fruit tree
Water
Frogs -> tadpoles
->frogs,
Seeds->
flowers ->seeds
Day->
night ->day
Spring->summer->autumn->
winter -> spring
Plants
die -> leaves rot in the ground-> make food for new plants
I would make it
so that you did not know what the weather would be like- sunny, snowy, hail,
fog, mist,cloudy and lots of others.
I
would make a cycle that meant every time a species of animal became extinct
then a new one would appear to replace it.
My new cycle
would be to reuse the fuel in my cars by attaching a hose pipe from the exhaust
to a gadget which changes it back to petrol - not sure you would call this
nature though.
Huge pods of dolphins coming to exmouth every year
to have their young!
weather
maybe the universe
MOUNTAINS
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very good Mimi!

Very interesting! I wonder if I know the 'funny' person who has a cycle going round in seasons? Looking forward to taking part in your next survey! X
