Evan's Survey on Rainbows

HELLO MY NAME IS EVAN AND I WANT TO REVIEW MY SURVEY WITH YOU.

 

I asked my family and friends these questions:

 

1. DO YOU THINK GOD 
   AMED RAINBOWS?
2. WHY DID GOD NAME RAINBOWS ‘RAINBOWS’?
3. IF GOD DIDN’T NAME RAINBOWS, WHO DID?

 

DO YOU AGREE?

 

1. Out of 17 people, 9 people said ‘YES’ and 8 people said ‘NO’.

 

I THINK UM…GOD DID MAKE BUT RAINBOWS BUT HE DIDN’T NAME THEM.

 

2. Most people said rainbows only come out when the sun is shining and the rain is pouring. Lots of people said they are shaped like a bow and arrow.

 

HUMPTY, NANA AND CAPTAIN ERIC SAID THIS:

 

HUMPTY - ‘He said, " I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant (promise) between me and the earth. Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life.Genesis 9:13. So every time you see a rainbow you can think, "God is seeing it as well as me and is remembering his promise to the world" Good eh?’

NANA – ‘I think God chose the name because a rainbow is in the shape of the sort of 'bow' that Noah may have used with an arrow to catch things to eat ), and the 'rain' bit because it was to remind God and everyone that He had promised not to make it rain so much as to flood the earth again.’

ERIC – ‘I am not sure that in the Hebrew that rainbows translates to rainbows but in the english it makes sense. Bows of colour that refract light during rain. Makes sense to me.’

3. Some people think God didn’t name rainbows. They thought it might be:

 

Noah, or Noahs kids.
